G4 Powerbook Models
The latest improvements in G4 Powerbook models are hardly revolutionary, but they’re all welcome. With a superb system, and a faster processor, these different G4 Powerbook models stand up better against the competition. Although they may seem still be a little pricey, they definitely give a better value than it used to. Offering higher-resolution screens and longer battery life, with amplified base configurations thee models of g4 Powerbook are now better values than ever.
The Powerbook G4 models are available in three screen sizes 12-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch. The G4 Powerbook model in 12-inch is available with DVI, 12-inch 1.33GHz and 1.5GHz processor speed. You can learn about the processor speed of the computer from the sticker inside the battery bay. In these models of g4 Powerbook, the two USB and one FireWire ports are located on the left side of the computer, while the Stereo speakers are located on the back of the computer.
PowerBook G4 modelswith a 15-inch display the ports on the right and left sides of the computer. In the earlier models of g4 PowerBooks15-inch, all the ports were located on the back of the computer. They are available with different processor speeds- FW 800, 1.5/1.33GHz and 1.67/1.5GHz. Except for processor speed, these are physically indistinguishable. The PowerBook G4 DVI computer can be distinguished from previous models in that it has a DVI video-out port, rather than the VGA ports.
The models of g4 Powerbook (Gigabit Ethernet) computer have a few main external identifying features differentiating then from the earlier models. The keyboard layout, the rear port cover and the lack of vents on the bottom of the computer are the easiest way to tell the differences. This G4 Powerbook model has a set of vents in the middle of the door, while the earlier models of g4 PowerBook computer had a solid door without vents. A redesigned keyboard layout is another distinctive feature.
The 17-inch is the next of the G4 Powerbook models, available in these variations- G4 PowerBook (17-inch), G4 PowerBook (17-inch 1.33GHz), G4 PowerBook (17-inch 1.5GHz) and G4 PowerBook (17-inch 1.67GHz) computers. These computers are not physically distinguishable, except for the processor speed. With a 17-inch display, one USB, one FireWire 400, there is one FireWire 800 port located on the right side of the computer. Stereo speakers are situated on left and right side of the keyboard.
