05 April 2007:
To you, our fans, we appreciate that this morning’s news that we are splitting up at the end of the summer this will have come as a shock, so we wanted to write a personal message to you all.
The decision that we have come to has taken a long time and is certainly not a decision that we have taken lightly and it group decision, nothing to do with the either the Record Label or Management.
Despite what the papers say, we are all still friends and will be continuing together in the band until the end of the summer.
We want to say a huge thank you to all of you for all the support you have given us over the past 3 years, as without you, we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today.
We are so excited about the summer tour as it’s our final chance to perform for you, the fans, and as it’s our farewell tour, it will certainly have some extra magic.
We will write again soon to confirm the extra summer shows, but for moment, loads of love from us all and we look forward to seeing you some time soon. |

22 December 2006:
We know that you guys loved the competition to win G4 singing carols in your living room.
So we asked the winner to review the intimate show. Here it is:
To win the first prize of G4 coming to my home and singing Christmas carols was my dream come true, I could not believe it was happening. I like thousands of others have loved these guys since seeing them on X Factor and followed their progress eagerly.
We were all awaiting the arrival of G4, then suddenly it was here they are, and lots of clapping and cheers as these four superb young men stepped through my doorway into my hall. It was just so surreal.
The guys introduced themselves and shook hands with everyone, the expression on people’s faces to actually meet G4 was a picture, and I was totally in shock. I kept pinching myself to make sure it wasn’t a dream.
Jon, Ben, Mike and Matt stood in front of my twinkling Christmas tree, and I was asked to sit facing them, what more can I say, it was my dream come true, to be so close.
The first song was Once in Royal David’s City, sung only as G4 can sing it, absolutely beautiful, wonderful voices, and such perfect harmonies. Followed by Amazing Grace, so emotional, and sung so beautifully, Jon you have the voice of an angel. It was truly magical, and at one point several of us were in tears. Then they sang Silent Night, oh so wonderful, perfect harmonies, the soft Christmas tree lights twinkling in the background, I had to pinch myself again. Then the final song My Way, what can I add, that has not been said, a truly stunning spectacular performance. G4 had standing ovations with every song, amongst loud cheers, everyone thought their performance outstanding.
The guys after the performance, sat in my lounge chatting with my family members, my beautiful nephew Connor mad four new friends, whom he enjoyed pulling Christmas crackers with (everyone on my Christmas tree to be precise). Connor asked Jon to catch him as he did not want to fall whilst pulling the cracker, Jon obliged, how sweet is that, Connor is now a G4 fan for life.
Everyone was asking the guys about the Cathedral tours and many wanted to know where they could get tickets.
People have said to me that the memory of this day and meeting G4 will stay with them forever, it was a special day, and made so precious for everyone because of these four lovely people. We all have extended our family by four.
Everyone adored G4, they found them to be approachable, down to earth, and completely charming guys (but I knew that already), and G4 only managed to increase their fan base even further.
All too soon it was over, we all had hugs and said our goodbyes. I thanked them for making my day so special. I watched them walk down the path into their waiting car, all carrying their silver goody bags. We all waved them goodbye, and as the car slowly drove away, we saw the waving of mobile phones, through the darkened windows. What a perfect end to a perfect day.
Thank you Jon, Ben, Mike and Matt for making my day so very special. I will carry your music in my heart always.
Love Christine.
